Residents across Luton are invited to our upcoming job fair which will provide opportunities to residents looking for work or a career change.
Taking place on Tuesday 13 August at Marsh Farm Futures House, the free event will allow job seekers to explore career options, gain valuable insights into the job market and network with employers from various industries such as construction, tourism, healthcare, banking and more.
Over 20 employers and training providers will take part including Glencar, Lagardere, Bedfordshire Police, Metrobank, Connect2Luton, Keech Hospice, NHS Health & Care Academy, First Port/Innovus, The Neville Group, South 57, Flexistaff, Home Instead, The Launch Group and Luton Council’s recruitment team.
For residents who have been out of the workforce for some time, representatives from Luton Adult Learning, Shaw Trust and National Careers Service (NCS) will be on hand to provide guidance and support on training opportunities, job hunting and career development.
Councillor Javeria Hussain, Portfolio Holder for Skills and Employability, said: “As a council, we are keen to support people across our community who want to get into the job market. This is a great opportunity for local residents to explore career pathways and speak directly to employers about the roles they are currently recruiting for.
“We encourage anyone looking for employment, a change of career or support around employability to attend.”
The community job fair will be held on Tuesday 13 August from 11am to 2pm, at Marsh Farm Futures House, The Moakes, LU3 3QB.
Admission is free and attendees do not need to register.
