A few days ago, on Friday, April 9, 2021, a poetic concert was held at the house of the President of Pak-British Arts Islamabad, Mr. Talat Munir. Poets, poetess, columnists, writers and educational personalities from different cities of the country such as Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Quetta, Hazara, Chakwal and Hassan Abdal participated in this poetry festival held in Rawalpindi. After the lunch at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, the concert started properly at 3 o’clock. After starting with the national anthem, Dr. Junaid Azar performed his duties with Tilawat-E-Quran. Poets and writers who attended this musahera were Naseem Sehar, Farhat Abbas, Khawar ijaz, Qayum Tahir, Junaid Azar, Jahan Ara Tabasum, Haseena Khan, Hassan Abbas Raza, Wafa Chishti, Tariq Naeem, Riffat Waheed, Abdul Qadir Tabaan, Zia Shahid, Mohammad Haneef Deep, Fakhar Abbas, Ruksana Sahar, Asim Munir Ashi, Arbaz Baghi, Bilal Shabbir Hadi, Hassan Guman and Haider Ali Wahidi.
Famous writer and senior poet Mr. Naseem sahar was the Cheif guest and special guests were Mr. Qayyum Tahir, Mr. Farhat abbas, Mr. Khawar ijaz, and Ms. Jahan Ara Tabassum.
Senior poet and Cheif guest Mushaira Naseem Sehar said that The specialty of this mushaera and poetic event is that it has famous and senior poets and writers as well as youth and it is good sign for new writers to sit among the eminent scholars and such seniors and benefit from them to make their future more brighter. Last but not the least all its credit goes to Talat Munir Sahib who organized this event.
During the tea break at 6 pm, the poets also visited Mr. Tallat munir’s library. Naseem Sehar Sahib gifted a series of his books to Talat Munir Sahib. The series of these books is now a part of Talat Munir’s Library. At the end of the ceremony, President PBA Islamabad Talat Munir Sahib thanked all the guests for participating and playing a vital role in success of this mefil-e-Mushaera.
