The latest travel list update sees four countries move to the red zone, making travel to them incredibly costly for UK tourists.

There are currently 60 locations on the red list including popular UK destination Turkey.

People returning from any country on the list have to quarantine in a hotel for 11 days costing around £2,285 for solo travellers.

This is a massive price increase, up from £1,750 a week ago.

he Government has placed Mexico, Georgia, La Reunion and Mayotte on the red list, meaning that travellers returning to the UK will have to add £2,285 to the cost of their trip.

This will include people fully vaccinated.

However, less strict restrictions have caused a surge in international travel as companies report increased business across the board.

Brittany Ferries saw bookings almost triple from Wednesday to Thursday after it was confirmed that fully vaccinated arrivals from France will no longer need to self-isolate.

The number of passengers booking the Eurostar route between London and Paris has doubled, which is likely to increase by this weekend.

After reducing its services because of the pandemic, the train operator is looking to ramp up its capacity in the next week as demand continues to grow.

he amount of tickets sold for trips to Spain have increased by 42 per cent compared with the same day last week.

Flights to Malaga, Palma, Alicante and Tenerife in Spain, and Dubai were the most popular on Wednesday last week according to the agency.

Although there was speculation the government might tighten rules that allow fully vaccinated people to avoid self-isolation, the policy remains unaffected by changes, prompting more holidaymakers to make plans.
